Fatima Z. Naveed (she/her) is a final year PhD student in the Department of English, University of Exeter. Her research centres on the South Asian Progressive Writers’ Association, focusing on the themes of anti-imperialism and literary dissent in the Progressives’ writings across the twentieth century. Prior to starting her PhD, she completed her MSc in International Development and Humanitarian Emergencies at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she focused on American neo-imperialism and the War on Terror. She is also the co-founder of The Tasavvur Collective, a consortium of inter-disciplinary early-career researchers interested in the social, historical and literary representation of South Asian Muslims in cultural productions.
