This short course will cover presentation skills for researchers. By the end of this course, you should be able to:

1)      Understand what makes an effect presentation and identify classic presentation mistakes.

2)      Plan and develop an engaging presentation with an awareness of the audience, a through-line and a hook.

3)      Apply the principles of storytelling to your presentation plan.

4)      Understand how to deliver an effective presentation by managing your nerves, using your body language, and using slides to support your content.

Annie Constable is a PhD student in Sport and Health Sciences, and my research focuses on physical activity, nutrition and musculoskeletal health in childhood and adolescence. She also teaches on the BSc Sport and Health Sciences programme, and offers 1:1 statistics support to undergraduate students in Sport and Health Sciences.
