Once you have submitted your final corrections, and they have been approved, you will receive an email from the PGR Administration team confirming the award of your thesis. This will be the first time that you will be addressed as ‘Dr.’, so take a moment to reflect on your achievement.
The award of the of a research degree also offers you a valuable opportunity to take stock, and to aid in this task, I‘ve produced one final activity – based on the popular ‘transitions’ model – to help you think through some of the changes that may be ahead for you, and to consider what you can take forward from your research degree and viva experiences.
